Enthusiastic voters in Bwari Area Council were tear-gassed and forced to flee before voting even began, according to a live report on Nigeria Info 95.1 FM.
Mrs. Omeza, a caller and a voter who was affected reporting live from in front of Zenith Bank near the JAMB office, described the chaos: “They teargassed us, they don’t want us to vote… People are crying, people fasting. People that managed to come out—all of them don’t want to come out now.” She noted that police on site claimed ignorance of who fired the canisters, speculating it could be private individuals or officers. No riot, protest, or chaos preceded the incident, calling it “totally uncalled for” and urging authorities to ensure safe civic participation.

At Garki, Lagos Streets, INEC ad-hoc staff were stranded without drivers for election materials, as transporters demanded unpaid fees. Hosts highlighted these as “logistical flaws” exposing weaknesses ahead of larger polls.
