Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijayie, Lagos, Michael Ezekwobi (Oyiomanatumba Ndigbo Gbaagburugburu), has called on electorate to come out en masse on Saturday to exercise their franchise.
In a statement, the royal father called on Igbo to shun apathy as a result of alleged threats to attack non-indigenes and use their permanent voters’ cards to vote candidate of their choice.
While appealing for peaceful poll, Ezekwobi said beyond election, people still have other social economic engagements, hence all hands must be on deck to ensure their is no breakdown of law and order.
On the naira redesign that has unleashed economic hardship on Nigerians, Ezekwobi commended the Federal Government (FG) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for coming out to clear the air on the controversial issue.
He call on Nigerians to listen to them by accepting the old notes.
Ezekwobi said compliance with Supreme Court judgement, FG and CBN directives will return normalcy in the system.
