The Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos, Michael Ezekwobi (Oyioma latunba Ndigbo gbaa gburugburu), has commended the CEO of Geometric Power plant, Aba Abia State, Prof. Bath Nnaji, for successfully inaugurating the 188-megawatt Geometric Power Plant in Aba, Abia State, to accelerate power supply to industrial clusters in the region.
The power plant located in the Osisioma industrial area, described as the biggest investment in the South East geopolitical zone, is said to have gulped about $800 million, covering the building of a 27-kilometre natural gas pipeline, from Owaza in Ukwa West LGA in Abia to the Osisioma industrial layout in Aba. According to the royal father, the exercise marks a milestone in Nigerias’ effort to generate a steady power supply in the country.
He said the project commissioned by the President Bola Tinubu will enable the commercial city of Aba attain its full potential as an industrial hub in the South East.
The Eze Ezekwobi called on Igbo at home and the Diaspora to think home by speaking the language at all time with their children
