Former Miss Culture Village, Arts and Film Festival (VILLAFFEST), Uchechi Uchenna has set her target on a national crown as she joins the prestigious Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.

The beauty queen, who made waves in 2022, will be representing Enugu State as contestant number 12 in the upcoming competition.

Expressing her thrill at the opportunity, Uchenna said: “I’m so grateful and excited to announce that I passed the audition for Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, and I’ll be on your screens as Miss Enugu, contestant 12.”

Her journey to this point has been marked by a commitment to her community. As Miss Villaffest, Uchenna was afforded a platform to champion cultural heritage, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.

Under the mentorship of festival founder Ichie Kelechi Eke, she launched the ‘Embrace Your Roots’ advocacy project, emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation.

She focused on critical issues such as education for underprivileged children, mental health, and healthcare.

Ichie Eke, the founder of Villaffest, expressed immense pride in Uchenna’s achievement, encouraging the public to support her on this exciting journey.
