Elder-statesman and former governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, has condoled with the Kaduna state government and people of Tudun Biri community over the bomb mishap which killed and injured many people recently.
The former governor in the condolence letter which was addressed to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state, was signed by Ahmed Yahaya, Special Adviser and subsequently delivered by his Personal Assistant on media, Yusuf Dingyadi, expressed sorrow and regret over the incident.
Bafarawa said the attack was not only condemned in Nigeria but calling on the federal government to institute a committee to investigate the unfortunate incident.
“Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa joined millions of people to express his heartfelt condolence to His Excellency on the untimely death of more than one hundred people who got killed in a bomb attack at Tudun Biri, Igabi local government of Kaduna state.
“In a situation of this nature where such a large number of people were killed during the performance of their religious rite, in such a gruesome manner through no fault of theirs, calls for solemn reflection and indeed deep mourning.
“At any rate, as has been seen, the attack was not only condemned in Nigeria but also far and wide across the globe calling on the federal government to institute a committee to investigate this serious matter.
“Alhaji Bafarawa wishes the governor and people of Kaduna state the fortitude to bear this great loss and pray to Almighty to forgive those who lost their lives and also great succor to especially those who are receiving medical treatment.” The letter read in part.
