Former Commissioner for Health, Edo State, Prof Mrs Aihanuwa Eregie, has passed on. Details of her death had not yet been made known.
Sunday Sun gathered that Prof Mrs Eregie served as Commissioner for Health in the state between March 2013 and November 2016.
The deceased was a professor of Medicine at University of Benin, with specialty in Endocrinology and Metabolism; she was the wife of Professor Charles Eregie.
According to Benedicta Ehanire, Public Relations Officer University of Benin, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, expressed shock and sadness over the loss and on behalf of the university community, prayed God to rest her soul and comfort her family.
