Former Commissioner for Health, Edo State, Professor Mrs Aihanuwa Eregie, has passed on.
No details about what may have led to her death yet.
She was the Honourable Commissioner for Health Mar 2013 – Nov 2016.
Eregie was a Professor of Medicine ( Endocrinology and Metabolism), University of Benin
She was the wife of Professor Charles Eregie.
According to the University of Benin Public Relations Officer, Benedicta Ehanire, she said that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami has expressed shock and sadness over the loss and on behalf of the Uniben community, prayed God to rest her soul and comfort her family.
