Dr. Eric Opah has many feathers to his cap. In addition to being the founder and CEO of Fortune Global Shipping & Logistics Limited, he is a board member of the Nigeria-America Chamber of Commerce; an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria (IODN); and the President of Eric Opah Foundation.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, he started his career in the logistics industry with Panalpina World Transport Group, and in no distant time, gained considerable industry experience in the company before setting up his own business.
Over the years, Dr. Opah has demonstrated a sublime level of entrepreneurial ingenuity that is uncommon among his peers, creating job opportunities across the country and establishing a reputation for integrity.
His expertise in Air Cargo handling operations played a major role in the establishment of China Southern Airlines in Nigeria, where he later became the Director of Cargo Operations.

His record of performance is not limited to entrepreneurial and business expertise. Opah is a philanthropist, a grassroots community developer, and a strong youth development and empowerment advocate.
His commitment to community development led to the establishment of the Eric Opah Foundation with a focus on empowering the younger generation through educational grants and diverse support as well as the Mbubo Transformation Group, through which community development projects are championed.
For these reasons and several others Dr. Eric Opah wins The Sun Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2025.
