Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes has stated that Michael Carrick is not the ideal manager for the Premier League team.
Scholes admitted that Carrick has done well since replacing Ruben Amorim, winning six of his seven matches.
With United presently in third place on the league table, he believes Carrick is putting pressure on the club’s leadership to make his position permanent.

However, Scholes believes the Red Devils should go for Carlo Ancelotti instead.
“The question over Michael is does he have the experience? I know he’s managed in the Championship but this is obviously different,” Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast.
“Now the perfect one out there… Ancelotti is still out there, I know he’s with Brazil, but he’s that perfect one for Manchester United.”
