An entrepreneur, Opeyemi Ojo, has unveiled new online marketing platform for content creators and authors to publish, distribute, and monetize their works.
The new online marketing platform, Kokawe, according to Ojo, who is also an author, is a child of necessity, borne out of an attempt to market his new book, entitled: ‘Be Stubborn’.
“Kokawe is a child borne out of necessity. After written my book, I was looking for where to sell it and I find out that an average Nigeria cannot even buy book on Amazon because of credit card transaction limit by bank.
“So, I initiate the idea to create my own Amazon, that is how Kokawe came about,” he said.
The businessman cum author disclosed this at the launch of the book and unveiling of the new online marketing platform in Lagos.
Giving insight into what content creators and authors stand to benefit from the platform (Kokawe), he said it would give them control over their works which can be accessed by the right people anywhere in the world .
Ojo said his new book, ‘Be Stubborn’, was about his life journey that could be classified into six Fs; family, faith, finance, failure, fear and future.
He charged youths not to give up on themselves and always strive for the best in life, and encouraged them to read the book to learn about one thing or the other.
Chief Medical Director, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Adetokunbo Fabamwo, who was among the special guests, also charged the youths on using their talents positively.
He advised them not to be looking for shortcuts to success but to work hard to realise their dreams in life.
The book reviewer, Femi Adekunle, said the book has all it takes to change the orientation of the youths on success, failure among others.
