The forum of chairmen of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has urged Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State to emulate the former Governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso.

Also, the forum enjoined the Governor not to relent in making the state an exemplary model of development in the country.

The forum led by its chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi gave the admonition during a courtesy visit on the Governor.

The chairmen, received by the state Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdulassam Gwarzo with some members of the State Executive Council and lawmakers applauded Yusuf for the unprecedented progress the state is witnessing under him.

They however urged him to emulate Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso who inspite of being a former governor of the state remains relevant to the extent of using his goodwill to unseat the ruling party during the 2023 governorship election.

The forum reminded Governor Abba Yusuf that the 2027 election is around the corner, hence the need for him to continue his good works because Kano template shall be used to campaign throughout the country.

They however passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of NNPP.

They also charged the chairman of NNPP in the state, Alhaji Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa to continue his membership drive for the party in order for the NNPP to continue to wax strong in the state and be a favourite Political party of the citizens.

Responding on behalf of the Governor, the Deputy Governor appreciated the forum for their visit and show of love, just as he promised not to let them down and be a good ambassador of NNPP among the comity of state governors.
