It is a brand new week and we trust that the Lord has been gracious to you and in all that concerns you. Welcome to this edition of TOTAL EXPERIENCE. It’s a continuation of our theme EMPOWERED TO BE FRUITFUL. In the previous edition we aimed at creating an understanding of our ordination and empowerment to be fruitful. That understanding is critical to living a life of fruitfulness. If you don’t know or cannot grasp substantially what you are wired for, you cannot rise above mediocrity and the average, ordinary life. If you don’t know what God has designed for you, you will settle for anything. That’s why the Apostle Paul prayed in EPHESIANS 1:17-23: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
In establishing further this understanding, we considered what fruitfulness is. It is in summary, the expressions of the richness of God in our lives here on earth. It is being all that God designed you to be in time without limitations. It is being the best and getting the best everyday and in everything.
With this understanding, we want to help you discover the path to this glorious, fruitful life on earth. It will be worth emphasizing that there is always a pathway to the riches of grace in Christ. Nothing just happens to a Believer. There’s always what to do to see, be and have whatever God has promised you. It is the path of honour for a Believer to always ask the Lord like Saul turned Paul did in Acts 9:6, “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”
It is in trying to find out what to do to get to where God wants us to be that we discover the details of our empowerment and our responsibilities of faith to obtain results. So now, we will begin to share keys to fruitfulness.
HOW DO WE ENJOY FRUITFULNESS IN LIFE?
1. HAVE A VISION.
The foundation of a fruitful life is the capacity and ability to see the fruitful future. The encounters that God had with the Patriarch Abraham and the Prophet Jeremiah, captured in the following scriptures are eye opening and instructive. In GENESIS 13:14-16, we read “And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered”.
Then we also hear in JEREMIAH 1:11-12, “Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it”.
These two encounters reveal explicitly the connections between what you see and realities you create and experience.
Too many people have been taught to submit, adapt and to accept mediocrity, struggles, failure and defeat in life.
You are not just a mixture of compounds; you are not a face in a crowd.
You were created in the image of God. You are a special specie of God’s creation. You are like a well-watered garden, designed and empowered to be fruitful always.
But there is a need to create a dream-wall of pictures if you want to enjoy a fruitful life.
Somewhere there should be a wall full of pictures of the tomorrow you intend to produce. If you want to own a plane, put a picture of a jet on your wall.
A single picture of your future is worth more than all the past pictures of your life.
The question is, What is your vision for your life?
It is your vision that gives you endurance power.
What is your vision for your business, job, career and finance?
If you want to go to the university, put a picture of a certificate on your wall.
If you want to be a champion in any field, put the picture of a medal on your wall.
It is your goal that takes you up and over the hurdles of life.
Have a vision for a fruitful life, business, job and career. In Habakkuk 2:2-3, “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
In life, when you decide what you want, the method for obtaining it becomes clear.
When you decide what you want, how to get it becomes obvious.
Every vision is pregnant, and it will surely deliver.
No one can be fruitful beyond his or her vision.
Success in life begins within; it is a state of the mind.
It begins within you and soon reflects in the world around you.
Have a vision of a fruitful life.
By dreaming big dreams and envisioning an exciting future, you become a successful person. You are the only one that can put limitations on your life.
2. DECLARE THE FUTURE YOU DESIRE.
It is not enough to catch a vision of a fruitful future, it is imperative that the picture is clear enough for you to declare it. Your declaration of the future creates its visibility.
In PSALM 81:10, we discovered that God does not feed and or fill a closed mouth. No wonder it is often said that “a closed mouth is a closed destiny.” So, God specifically told His people to “open thy mouth wide and I will fill it.” PSALM 81:10, “I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it”.
In the book of Numbers, we also discovered that God is listening to what we are saying; and it is the thing or things we consistently declare that He is committed to bring to pass. NUMBERS 14:28, “Say unto them, as truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you”.
Your mouth is your instrument of joy.
Your mouth is your instrument of dominion.
Your mouth is an instrument of success.
Your mouth is your instrument of fruitfulness.
You have the responsibility to declare the future you desire.
No man can be fruitful beyond his words.
You can’t enjoy fruitful life by talking frustration, failure and defeat. In Job 22:29, the Bible says, “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person”.
No matter your level of commitment to labor or the quality of your excellence, if you miss it at the talking stage, you wipe off everything. In James 3:5-6, the Bible tell us the power of our tongues to shape the realities of our lives. It says, “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”
Words are seeds.
Words are pictures.
Words are things.
What we say and say consistently create our realities. You must talk fruitfulness, success and prosperity everywhere, both in your privacy and in public.
Fruitfulness only answers to those who say it.
Anybody is free to stay in the desert, but you have a destiny with God that guarantees you a dwelling place. Declare it with your mouth!
No matter how many people are angry, don’t talk about poverty; don’t talk about what you do not desire to see in your life.
Your mouth is a key factor in the realm of prosperity.
You were not redeemed to struggle through life.
You were redeemed to live the supernatural life, which is the natural estate of a child of God.
However, we must engage our tongue to command the supernatural.
It takes the sound to command the signs. Isaiah 8:18 says, “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion”.
It is important to know that what we say is what we see in life.
What we cannot say, we cannot see.
It is not enough to believe the Word, we must see a vision of the future; we must declare confidently what we see before it can manifest in our lives. In Proverbs 18:21, the Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” In Mark 11:23, the Word says, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”.
Beloved, you can have it if you can say it. When you know what it takes, then you are ready to take it. A discovery of the truth regarding your life is the gateway to total recovery. You can live a fruitful life.
DECISION TIME
The best gift of life is time. The best gift of time is now. The best use of now is the decision to secure and prepare for eternity. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, please don’t let this moment pass you. You’re just a decision away from a secured eternity. You can pray this prayer to surrender to Jesus: “Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me. I accept you into my life as my Saviour and Lord. Forgive my sins and give me power to live for you the rest of my life on earth”. Amen. Congratulations! If you have prayed this prayer, you are now born again. You can contact us to let us know about your decision or visit us at the address above to learn more on how to grow in your Christian life. God bless you.
