emPawa Africa, independent music company on the continent, has announced the appointment of Miller Williams as Head of Publishing.
Williams joins emPawa with over two decades of publishing and A&R leadership experience. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Creative at Kobalt Music, where he managed songwriter services, led catalogue acquisitions, and supported international creative development. His tenure at Kobalt also included expanding opportunities in the K-pop market, strengthening global sync positioning, and driving cross-border catalogue collaborations.
Prior to Kobalt, Williams played a key role in building Global Talent Publishing into one of the UK’s most prominent independent publishers. His career history also includes senior creative and A&R roles at Sony ATV UK, BMG Records UK, PWL Records UK, and earlier experience in Nashville with Terrace Music.
Commenting on the appointment, Oluwatosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade, Founder of emPawa Africa, stated:

As Head of Publishing, Williams will be responsible for shaping emPawa Africa’s publishing strategy across African and international markets, with a focus on catalogue expansion, songwriter partnerships, sync opportunities, and global growth initiatives.
