Eid-el-Kabir: Pray for Nigeria, minister urges pilgrims

From Desmond Mgboh, Kano

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, has called on Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to pray for the country and the success of the Tinubu-led administration.

In his Eid-el-Kabir Sallah message, Gwarzo congratulated the Muslim ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. He emphasized that President Tinubu was on the right track to address the socio-economic challenges inherited from previous administrations, highlighting the positive policies being implemented to improve the lives of citizens.

While acknowledging the country’s security challenges, Gwarzo assured Nigerians that President Tinubu remained committed to securing the nation from all forms of insecurity. He urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of peace, kindness, and confidence in the Tinubu administration, emphasizing the need for fervent prayers and sacrifice to overcome the challenges hindering the nation’s progress.

The Minister appealed to Muslim communities in Nigeria to reflect on the sacrifices made during Eid-el-Kabir for the development of the country. He also prayed for the safe return of Nigerian pilgrims from this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
