Eid-El-Kabir: Ikpeazu felicitates with Abia Muslims

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has felicitated with all Muslims in Abia State on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Kabir celebrations.

In a statement, Ikpeazu described the occasion as a time to remember and commemorate Allah’s great sacrifice for the world.

He urged Muslims in the State to imbibe the lessons and virtues of sacrifice, forgiveness and love for one another.

The Governor used the opportunity to restate the determination of his administration to deal decisively with those who are behind the spate of criminality and kidnappings around Umunneochi LGA and its environs.

He assured all citizens of the State of equal treatment irrespective of tribe and religion.

Ikpeazu equally assured that his administration shall continue to uphold the rights to freedom of thought, conscience and religion of every citizen by respecting their rights to worship, provided such rights were exercised lawfully and in accordance with prevailing laws.

The Governor, on behalf of the Government and people of Abia State wished all Muslims a peaceful Sallah celebrations.
