The Governor of Zamfara state Dr. Dauda Lawal has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to security and safety, lasting peace and economic stability in Zamfara state.

He gave the assurance while presenting 2026 Sallah message in his office at government house, Gusau the state capital.

Recalled that from campaign to taking over the governance of Zamfara state, Governor Lawal harped on six points rescue agenda for the people of Zamfara state which focused on security, agriculture, education, Healthcare, infrastructure and economic empowerment.

He expressed joy that his administration has never lost focus in administering its purposeful commitment to rescuing the people of Zamfara state till now.

It is evidenced in the current reclaiming of communities besieged by bandits and criminal syndicates as our fellow brothers and sisters who became internally displaced are witnessed returning to their communities in assurance of lasting peace.

He noted that, he promised to provide Airport for the people of Zamfara state and today, the airport has commenced activities.

He pledged to airlift the 2026 intended pilgrims from Zamfara state to Saudi Arabia and the promise was fulfilled as the pilgrims were airlifted for the first time in the history of Zamfara state from the state owned airport to the land of Saudi Arabia for their religious activities.

Governor Lawal pledged clean and portable water for the people of Zamfara state as he affirmed that the equipment for total revamp of the state water board have been secured and work will commence at site immediately after Sallah.

He urged everyone in Zamfara state to remain calm and law abiding as they celebrate the 2026 Eid-el Kabir.
