From Agaju Madugba, Katsina
The Emir of Daura, Katsina State, Dr. Farouk Umar Farouk, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a good man, striving very hard to surmount challenges confronting his leadership of the country for the past seven years.
According to the Emir, it is a great mistake for anybody to work against the President arguing that, “this man has done good job for the country more than anyone else.“
The Emir spoke on Saturday after the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Kofar Arewa Eid prayer ground, Daura, where Buhari joined his kinsmen to observe the Muslim prayers.
According to the Emir, “people know you are not daft and it’s only God who will reward you. I an not praising you, I am 92 years old.
“I am grateful to President Buhari, our father and father of the country for his continued patience and courage in leading the country for the past seven years.
“And, if you are not grateful to him, you will face the wrath of God Almighty.
“Whether you agree or not, no other African country has benefited from democracy than Nigeria.
“We Daura people have indeed benefited a lot in all spheres of development with your coming as leader so also other Nigerians.”
The Emir urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the President to succeed in the fight against insecurity.
