Eggon paramount ruler Angbazo confirmed dead by family

The Aren Eggon and paramount ruler of the Eggon Nation of Nasarawa State, Bala Angbazo, has died at age 89.

The first son of the deceased, James Angbazo, Dangaladima Eggon who confirmed to Daily Sun on the death of the long-serving paramount ruler since the creation of the state said his father died in the early hours of Wednesday at Abuja Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Daily Sun reports that the paramount ruler was born in Wakama District of Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the state in 1933.

Angbazo ascended the throne on July 11, 1981, and died after 41 years of ruling the Eggon nation in Nasarawa.
