Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, arrested 100 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Enugu State.
The anti-corruption body made this known in a statement in Enugu on Wednesday.
According to the statement, “The suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence about suspected activities of an organised syndicate of internet fraudsters operating along Ibagwa-Nike and other locations in the Enugu metropolis.”
The statement revealed that items recovered from the suspected fraudsters include three exotic cars, mobile phones and laptops
The suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigations.
