The Edo State government has concluded plans to revatalise its mining sector and wooing potential investors to the state by showcasing the abundant solid mineral resources available in the region.
In the recent report released by the State Commissioner for Mining and Energy, Enaholo Ojiefoh, he revealed on-excavation-site price analysis, current market trends, factors influencing price changes, purpose and transparency and encouraging investment among others.
According to him, the report aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the solid mineral markets’ capital expenses, aligning with the vision of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Ojiefoh said that the report offers a detailed examination of on-excavation-site prices for solid minerals in Edo, providing an insightful analysis of the current market trends.
Furthermore, he said the report delves into the factors influencing price fluctuations in solid minerals, considering external and internal elements such as union activities and the impact of inflation, which contribute to weekly variations, adding that the objective of the market report is to enhance transparency and foster interest among Edo State residents, potential investors, and the public.
Speaking on encouraging investment, he said: “By offering insight into capital expenses associated with the solid mineral market, this report serves as a catalyst for stimulating interest among potential investors. It not only provides an analysis of market trends and influencing factors , it aligns with the broader vision of Governor Obaseki to revitalise the mining sector.”
