Lawmakers in the Edo state house of Assembly have impeached the Speaker of the House , Mr. Victor Edoror, and his Deputy.
Both lawmakers, who are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), were removed by 15 members of the parliament.
The former Speaker and his deputy, who came into office about a year ago, were accused of misconduct.
Meanwhile, a new speaker Mrs Elizabeth Ative was immediately elected after their impeachment as replacement.
