Founder, Godsent Foundation, Ambassador Dion Osagie, yesterday, said that over 3,400 indigents had benefited from his free feeding programme while over 100 homeless children had been reunited with their parents in the past six months.
He disclosed this while marking this year’s reunion tagged, “Effects of COVID-19, Moving Forward” in Benin City.
“This year alone, 3400 persons have benefited from our hospitality programme. About 100 students who were picked up in the streets by us have been reunited with their families and they are all doing well from what we discovered in our follow-up visits,” he said.
Amb. Dion said also that since the inception of the foundation five years ago, it had fed one million persons, adding that this was one of his ways of contributing his quota to the development of the state and to humanity.
According to him, the foundation has a total of 207 indigent students in his school and has also graduated the first set of 11 students.
“Well, it may shock you to know that since we have been doing this programme far back five years ago, we have not received a dime from the government,” he said.
