Ebonyi APC primary election: Ogbuoji floors Odoh in court

Court

Obinna Odogwu, Abakaliki

The Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, has dismissed the suit filed by the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Bernard Odoh, against the party’s candidate for the 2019 governorship election in the state, Sen. Sonni Ogbuoji.

Odoh, who came second in the party’s primary election held on  September 30 and October 1, 2018, approached the court to challenge the outcome of the primary.

He alleged that delegate list for Ikwo and Ezza South local government areas of the state were falsified and that led to his defeat.

The suit was dismissed because the plaintiff failed to adduce preponderance of evidence to prove his case.
