In the spirit of Christmas and in remembrance of the late Ebenezer Williams Abiodun Aloba, the Ebenezer Williams Empowerment Project (EWEP) is set to host a monumental event that embodies the true essence of giving back and honoring a legacy of selfless service. On December 19, 2024, EWEP fed 500 pupils at the Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment Home in Lagos and extend their goodwill to the Oronsaye Orphanage Home in Benin City, ensuring a festive season filled with joy and warmth for vulnerable children. The event was graced by members of the Abiodun Aloba family, along with dedicated volunteers such as Pelumi Adewunmi, Ibironke Ibidapo, Remen Omosigho,Aimua Omosigho and the outreach coordinator, Omoferimi Aloba.

This dual celebration coincides with the posthumous birthday month of the late Ebenezer Williams Abiodun Aloba which takes place in 21st december 2024, a revered journalist whose life and career were dedicated to uplifting others and advocating for social good. His enduring vision of service to humanity is the driving force behind this initiative, which seeks to bring smiles and relief to children during this festive season.

Ebenezer Williams Abiodun was not just a veteran Nigerian journalist and columnist who wrote under the pen name “Ebenezer Williams. He was also a beacon of hope, a man who believed in the transformative power of kindness and community. Through his tireless efforts, he inspired countless lives and left behind a legacy of compassion and empowerment.
To honor his memory, EWEP and the Aloba Park, which bear his name, have been established as pillars of service, embodying his dream of creating a better world for all, especially the vulnerable. This annual Christmas outreach is a continuation of that legacy,a practical manifestation of his ideals that ensures his vision lives on.

The charity partners with New Life in the City Church and actively engages in various community activities, including hosting Christmas parties, providing toys, and arranging dinners for families at the Ronald McDonald’s House in Jackson Memorial Hospital. We also organize Christmas parties for children at His House House Children’s Home , a foster home in Miami Gardens. Every year, we partner with Africa United of Miami for the Aloba Cup in Miramar, Florida, an event where we award scholarships to different schools to help sustain their football programs.
