Not fewer than 19 persons have cheated death after they were injured in an auto crash at Tyoor Tyu village along Makurdi – Gboko road in Benue State.
Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Benue State Command, Steve Ayodele, said that the crash involving two vehicles; a Ford and Toyota Hiace Bus, at about 4pm on Easter Sunday.
Ayodele said “19 persons were injured in the crash out of 26 involved in the crash; nine male and 10 female. They (victims) sustained different degree of injuries,” he said.
The Sector Commander blamed the accident on wrong overtaking and cautioned drivers to be careful while driving.
He said the injured persons are receiving treatments in the hospital.
