Fast-rising Afrobeats star, Michael Ajani, popularly known as Dualkeyz, has described his new EP, Most High, as a deeply spiritual project born out of a season of meditation, growth, and renewed understanding of God’s sovereignty.
The pianist and music producer, who has steadily carved a niche for himself through expressive piano interpretations and refined production, said the body of work represents more than just music.
According to him, the EP is an atmosphere — one designed to draw listeners into reflection, calmness, and intimate moments of faith.
“Most High is an expression of God’s divine sovereignty,” Dualkeyz explained.
“It was inspired by a quiet period in my life where I spent time reflecting, praying, and growing. Every sound and every layer on this project carries that experience.”
Born into a musical family, Dualkeyz began playing professionally at 23, bringing emotional depth and sensitivity to his performances. Over the years, he has expanded his repertoire, blending technical skill with spiritual expression — a balance that is fully realized in Most High.
The EP fuses contemporary gospel with Afrobeats gospel, jazz, neo-soul, atmospheric synths, and lo-fi textures, creating what he describes as “an intimate yet expansive soundscape.”
Produced primarily with piano and Logic Pro, the project leans heavily on layered instrumentation and textured sound design.
“I focused on stacking rich textures and building depth,” he said.
“The piano is the foundation, but the atmosphere is intentional. I wanted each track to feel immersive — something people can pray with, think with, or simply sit quietly with at night.”
Beyond its sonic richness, Dualkeyz noted that the project carries stories of faith, gratitude, and personal surrender.
He believes the EP will resonate not only with gospel listeners but also with lovers of thoughtful, well-crafted music.
“What Most High will do for listeners is create a sacred atmosphere,” he added.
“It’s for believers seeking deeper quiet time, for creatives who appreciate intentional artistry, and for anyone who needs a reminder that God is sovereign even in stillness.”
