The Lagos State Police Command on Friday confirmed that the driver to a retired permanent secretary in Ogun State, Adefemi Egbeoluwa and his wife, Oluwafunmilayo, found dead in their home last Saturday in Lagos is currently assisting the police with its investigation.
The Egbeoluwas were found dead in their residence at 1, Adefolu Drive near New World Hotel, Allen Avenue, Ikeja on Saturday March 18.
The Police spokesman, SP. Benjamin Hundeyin told Saturday Sun, that the driver is with the Police and assisting with the investigation.
A report about the incident has it that the couple’s house help was seriously injured when some yet-to-be-identified persons invaded the couple’s home and killed them.
It was gathered that the suspects also attacked their domestic worker and beat her till she became unconscious before they fled the scene,
A source said the domestic worker was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where she had been placed on admission for treatment.
Also, it was learnt that neighbours who got the information about the attack on the couple, rushed to ascertain the condition of the victims.
The neighbours said: “We learnt that the police found a machete, plank of wood, one nose mask, a touch light, and one ID card at the victims’ residence.”
