Dreams of attack made me stay away from Nigeria-Pastor Sam Adeyemi

Lagos, Nigeria – The Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, has revealed that he and his wife have been experiencing disturbing dreams about returning to Nigeria.

During a recent interview on Mic Podcast with Seun, monitored by sunnewsonline.com, Pastor Adeyemi disclosed that spiritual revelations have indicated that their lives would be in danger if they visited Nigeria.

“It’s been happening for 10 years now,” Pastor Adeyemi explained. “My wife and I shifted our focus to global work and established offices in Atlanta a decade ago. This move allowed us to leverage technology and Western systems to reach a global audience. All our children were in the US when the COVID-19 lockdown started, so we stayed together as a family during that period.”

Pastor Adeyemi shared that their plans to return to Nigeria were disrupted by a series of ominous dreams. “The week I resumed services was the week that the #EndSARS protests started. After the protests turned violent, we decided to stay back. When we planned another visit, my wife had a troubling dream about returning to Nigeria. Three days later, I had a similar dream where I was violently attacked.”

He continued, “In my dream, I was in a big fight and was attacked violently. I called out the name of Jesus Christ in the dream, which woke my wife up. We prayed fervently, sensing that these dreams were warnings of danger. A few days later, I had another dream of being in a fight in Nigeria.”

Pastor Adeyemi noted that family members in Nigeria also expressed concerns about their safety. “Whenever we set a date to travel, I would have a dream indicating something bad would happen. After consulting with our family and church leaders, we decided to heed these warnings and stay put.”

He convened a meeting with the top 120 leaders of Daystar Christian Centre via Zoom, explaining the situation and their decision to remain abroad. “We’ve never deceived our congregation before, and this decision is based on what we believe God is telling us. Our leaders supported the decision, acknowledging that God’s guidance is paramount.”

Pastor Adeyemi mentioned that this period allowed him to shift his focus from being a local church pastor to a global ministry. “The police eventually advised me to focus on the global work I had always known I would do. We are now leveraging technology to continue our ministry while ensuring our safety.”

The pastor concluded by reaffirming his commitment to his global ministry work while maintaining the operations of Daystar Christian Centre through technological means.
