His firm, a general contracting company, has successfully executed projects for reputable agencies and Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) within Nigeria, contributing to infrastructure development and institutional capacity. Beyond contracting, Yakubu is widely recognized for his expertise in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), where he has facilitated the entry of multiple foreign enterprises into Nigeria, including strategic interests within the oil and gas sector. Yakubu’s influence extends strongly into investment diplomacy and trade facilitation. He notably coordinated the Nigeria–Dubai Bilateral Trade Conference and Exhibition in 2017, creating a platform for meaningful engagement between government institutions and private-sector leaders. In addition, he facilitated a trade mission between the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) and the Dubai Free Zone (UAE), alongside several bilateral conferences, trade missions, exhibitions, and executive management training programs delivered in partnership with leading institutes in Dubai. In this capacity, he manages logistics for a fleet of rigs in Nigeria, supporting complex operations that require precision, compliance, and strategic coordination.
