On Sunday 26 November 2023, the Rotary Club of Lekki Central District 9110, Lagos officially installed Mr. Dickson Ikhuoria as the 3rd President of the service Club.
At the prestigious installation and fund raising luncheon held inside the Cedar Hall of Swiss International The Vistana Hotel, Victoria Garden City, Lagos, Ikhuoria looked every inch a royalty as he dressed in an all-white traditional attire with traditional coral beads in company of his immediate family and friends. As was customary, the immediate past president, Rotarian David Oluwo handed over the baton to the newly installed president amidst cheers and pageantry.
Speaking at the event, Ikhuora —a Paul Harris Fellow— pledged to continue with the club’s tradition of service.
Expectedly, the well-attended event was a convergence of the crème de la crème of the society and had all the paraphernalia of glamour and glitz. Notable among the dignitaries were Pharm. Olayinka Subair, the country manager, Pfizer West Africa, who was the chairman of the occasion; and Mr Okechukwu Onyehar, CEO, Blochaus Africa, who was the co-chairman.
The climax of the investiture ceremony was the fund raising session for humanitarian projects for the 2023/24 year. It was also an avenue to honour some members of the board of directors who were given awards for their humanitarian services.
