Diamond Jubilee: Imo NIPR holds road walk, plants trees in Owerri

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Imo State Chapter, yesterday, joined other state chapters of the Institute to hold a road walk and tree planting to mark the diamond jubilee of the Institute.

Chairman of the Institute, Ever Bezze Nwosu  while speaking to newsmen in Owerri said that the road walk tagged: ‘Walking for Economic Transformation” commenced at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri  and terminated at Zanders Foundation, School Road, Owerri. 

He disclosed that after it, the chairman was joined by other members of the institute in the planting of 60 trees in the state as part of the 60th anniversary of the NIPR.

He said that the tree planting which took place at selected locations across the state was to underscore the Institute’s commitment to a greener Nigeria.

The double-edged event featured several side attractions  to consolidate the impact of the NIPR across the nation and beyond.

The event  was well attended by members of the Institute, including veterans in the profession and the general public.
