Nigerian comedian Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, popularly known by his stage name, “Destalker”, has again won the best comedian of the year award 2022.
The award was conferred on Destalker by Cheq TV, an online entertainment TV.
Destalker is described by fans as very creative and talented and has never climbed stage without making people laugh and his comedy skits centre around social, political and economic issues.
The comedian who is a graduate of Public Administration from Enugu State University of Science and Technology is also an event planner and radio presenter. He has organised several successful shows in Nigeria and abroad, with the most recent being the August 7 Destalker Laughter Crusade Tour.
In March, he toured 16 cities in the UK tour Basiloon, London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Coventry, Bristol, Leicester, Newcastle, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Dublin, and all tickets were sold out.
Another show coming up is Destalker Laughter Crusade, taking place in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on November 13.
In 2021, Destalker emerged as Humour Awards Comedian of the Year. He was nominated alongside the likes of Kennyblaq, Acapella, MC Edo Pikin, among others.
