Davnotch Nigeria Limited, has pledged to ensure the continual development of Tennis in Nigeria, through the sustenance of its perennial sponsorship of the Davnotch National Open Tennis Championship.

This was revealed by its Managing Director, Mr Emmanuel Ochei at a media interaction, heralding the grand-finale of the ongoing sixth edition of sponsorship held at the Moshood Abiola national stadium Abuja.

According to him, sports development requires consistent investment, innovation and deliberate planning, stating that “future editions of the Davnotch National Open Tennis Championships will feature increased prize money and enhanced initiatives for players”.

Further, he opined that Davnotch’s association with tennis in Nigeria is replete with high flying achievements, prominent amongst which is breaking of Nigeria’s thirty- seven-year jinx of  not advancing to the group 2 level of the Davis Cup which was achieved recently by besting highly ranked Uzbekistan.

This, according to Ochei, was facilitated by the products from previous editions of the Davnotch National Open Tennis Championship.

He expressed confidence in the tournament providing a veritable fertile ground for the discovery of innate talents, nurturing champions and positioning Nigeria as a leading force in Africa and global Tennis, thereby demonstrating unwavering commitment to excellence.

He concluded   “That remains our vision, and we are committed to making it a reality”.
