Nigerian music stars Davido and Wande Coal have exchanged heated remarks online over the unreleased collaboration, “Come My Way”, with both artistes offering different accounts of why the song never came out.
The dispute began after Davido shared a clip from a recent podcast appearance on his Instagram Story, where he discussed his involvement in the track.
Davido explained that Wande Coal initially contacted him to contribute to the song. After recording his part, however, the artistes reportedly disagreed over the proposed release format.
According to Davido, Wande Coal intended to release the original version of “Come My Way” before adding his contribution to a subsequent remix.
Davido said that arrangement did not reflect how he had approached the collaboration, insisting that he recorded his verse for the original song rather than as a remix contribution.
Wande Coal subsequently challenged Davido’s version of events in a post on X, maintaining that the song already had a release schedule before their disagreement.
“Carry song come give you as how? Song wey been get release plan and date!!! Song wey no be your own you wan dictate release plan,” he wrote.
The singer also argued that “Come My Way” was successful without Davido’s contribution.
“That song fkin did well without you on it bruv!!!” Wande Coal added.
Davido later responded to Wande Coal on X, prolonging the exchange as both musicians traded words over the circumstances surrounding the unreleased collaboration.
The disagreement has since attracted reactions from fans and other music followers, with some calling on the two artistes to end the public dispute and resolve their differences privately.
