It is no longer news in Nigeria that the 001 and the international superstar himself, Davido, will be taking his 5ive tour to the city of Ibadan in Oyo State.
Plans are in top gear as the Oyo State Government through the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development under the leadership of Prince Adebowale Falana, is at the forefront of ensuring King David has a spectacular event on the 9th of November at the historic Liberty Stadium, the first stadium in the whole of Africa.
The Oyo State Government is leaving no stone unturned at ensuring the concert is hitch free, and has gone ahead to assemble a team of competent industry experts, with proven track records in the entertainment and creative industry, as the Local Organizing Committee.
Tony “Don Tee” Awobode has been named chairman, while Tosin Odita is the Secretary. Other members of the committee are DJ Secxy, MC Queen Lagbaja, Damilola, Oladehin and Tiwa the Tailor. Other prominent figures in the committee are Ayo George, Tunde Ayanda, Damola Layade, Rotimi Ige, and Oloye Adekunle.
The concert is expected to attract about 25,000 Davido lovers, the crème-de-la-crème in Oyo State, captains of industry, government officials, industry giants, and other VIPs.
The city of Ibadan is agog already for the mega concert as His Excellency, the youth friendly Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde has promised to give the event every support necessary for it to be very successful.
