There was jubilation at the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Makurdi, the Benue state capital, as the government approved the payment of 7 months salary arrears owed to staff.
According to the Managing Director/CEO, BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, the state Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has graciously approved the payment of 7 months salary arrears owed staff of the company.
He said the approval was done in the spirit of the yuletide and the administration’s commitment towards the betterment of Benue citizens.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Friday, the MD and disclosed that “The Governor also approved the end of the year special bonus, otherwise known as “13th month” as well as four months allowances for all the staff of the company.
“The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, on behalf of Management and Staff wishes to register their collective sentiment of gratitude to the Governor for putting smiles on the faces of staff and brightening the atmosphere of the workplace. There is no better motivation than this,” he said.
Asemakaha, appreciated the Governor for believing in his leadership and the ability of the members of staff to transform the company into a global investment destination with ease of doing business.
He therefore, called on all staff members to give their best in utmost dedication to duty as a response to the kind gesture extended to them by the Governor.
