Dala Tennis: Agugbom, Samuel clash in final

Number one seed, Christy Agugbom will square against number two seed, Blessing Samuel in today’s epic final in the Ladies Singles event at the ongoing Dala 2016 tennis tournament holding in Kano City.

Agugbom, yesterday, beat Patience Onebamhoin in the Ladies Singles’ second semi-final pairing 6/2,6/4 to set up an exciting final clash against Samuel who overcame Sarah Adegoke in the thrilling first semi-final match 6/1,5/7,6/3.

In the Men’s Doubles, the pair of Clifford Enosoregbe and Madueke Nonso, yesterday, beat the pair of Albert Bikom and Sunday Maku in the first semi-final 2/6,6/2,10/5 to qualify for today’s final in that category against the winner of the pair of Abdulmumin Babalola/Lawal Shehu versus Moses Michael/Christian Paul.

Meanwhile, Thomas Otu, yesterday, beat Emmanuel Idoko 6/3,6/2 in one of the quarterfinal pairings in the Men’s Singles to reach the semis.
