The governor made the pledge, yesterday, during a meeting with the members of the business community and other stakeholders in the state at the Government House.
Yusuf said he would personally pay a visit to the president to make the report of the situation, saying he believed the president would intervene and help bring succour to the people.
He admitted the cost of living, particularly foodstuff and other essential needs were rising at an alarming rate, stressing there was an urgent need to put heads together to address the situation.
He maintained that the purpose of the meeting with the business community was to fine tune modalities on how to address the challenge, adding: “The people are suffering and there is a need to do something about this.”
