Members of Board of Directors of all the Companies within the Coscharis Group all over the globe came out from their annual strategy retreat session recently held in Lagos with a business resolution to remain focused on delivering value to their numerous stakeholders across all the business sectors where they operate.
The organization known for representing globally respected brands in sectors like the Automotive, Logistics / Leasing, Information Technology, Agro – Allied, Chemical & Allied, Beverages and Property charged themselves to leverage on the existing brand strength and diversification advantages of the Coscharis brand for future growth by delivering sharper execution discipline, capital efficiency, stronger governance infrastructure and deliberate culture shaping.
In his opening remarks at the retreat that has clear set objectives to review 2025 performance, preview 2026 plans with key focus areas to revalidate both short / medium term strategic direction across companies within the group and ultimately define Board priorities for the year 2026, the Group Chairman, Dr. Cosmas Maduka challenged the leaders of various group of Companies present to focus and come up with realistic strategies that will not only sustain the growth but deliver the future of the businesses that will remain relevant to the market in the future.
According to him, “we cannot afford to be comfortable with our present historical growth across all our businesses but to challenge ourselves to achieve our full potential and capacity that must deliver futuristic value propositions for our customers that will secure their loyalty that will be sustainable over the years. We must be dynamic in our approach. We must be innovative. We must acquire new skills to show capacities and capabilities to remain relevant in delivering the value chain to our numerous stakeholders. Coscharis must continue to take its right position to think beyond Nigeria and build globally relevant solutions leveraging on the pedigree we have built over the decades representing globally respected iconic brands across Africa and beyond. This will now reassure our customers to remain loyal as they are guaranteed sustainable value for their money with an organization that is timeless in its relevance as is stated in our vision statement.”

Topical strategic presentations were delivered by experts with relevant business cases. Setting the pace was Professor Ekundayo Mesagan of Pan Atlantic University who gave strong insight to ‘General economic outlook and impact on Coscharis Group of Companies’. While Mr. Chidi Okoro, a Senior Fellow at LBS delivered a practical presentation on ‘Commercial Strategy Execution’. ‘Sustaining Culture and Leadership’ topic was expertly delivered by Mr. Ted Theodore who is the Executive Chairman and Managing Partner, ISCHUS Management Consultancy. To wrap up the presentation sessions was the paper on ‘Board Governance Trends and Maturity’ masterly delivered by both Messrs. Mike Ikpoki and Andrew Esemezie of African Context Advisory Partners who doubles as the Retreat Facilitators.
While giving his closing remarks, the Deputy Group Managing Director, Coscharis Group, Mr. Fred Amobi posited that the aftermath of the retreat should be a catalyst to taking the Coscharis brand into the next phase of its growth as part of the mid – term strategic projections. In his words, ‘’as an entity, we should now equip and position our group of Companies to be proactive in shaping the future of our deliverables to our customers to remain relevant to their needs and satisfaction and this can only be effectively achieved if our tactical execution of our strategies is on point for the future”’.
At the end of the Retreat, all the leadership of the various boards for each Company felt well equipped and charged to be able to lead their teams towards achieving a successful business outing from 2026 as pert of the agreed mid – term set goals for growth.
