As Lagosians await the unveiling of some key projects in the state ahead of the celebration of its golden jubilee celebration, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has been commended for taking tears away from motorists in the metropolis especially those plying the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
This commendation was coming on the heels of the construction of an ultra-modern flyover at Abule-Egba area of the state.
The call was made in Lagos by a community leader, High Chief Fayemiwo Ajanaku (Araba of Ojokoro), in an interview with newsmen.
Chief Ajanaku, operating under Oba of Jokoro, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Oluwalambe Taiwo, maintained that the Abule-Egba flyover bridge has again shown that Governor Ambode has kept faith with his campaign promises.
The community leader, however, urged the state government to repair link roads damaged on account of the diversions created while the construction lasted. Such roads are identified as Charity Road, Social Club Road, Baale Bakare Way, Pipeline Isopako, Santos Avenue, Karonwi Street, Arowolo Street and Adepegba Street.
The roads, he maintained, served as buffer for the expressway which construction was going on and got damaged in the process.
