Teenage cycling sensation, Marvelous Olawale will hoist Nigeria’s flag in the cycling event at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad and Tobago.
Olawale, aged 16, will be joined by compatriot Ayisat Arogundade, aged 17, to represent Nigeria at the games to be held at the Port of Spain.
The duo, under the guidance of their coach, Joy Omeboh, will join over 1000 athletes and para athletes between the ages of 14-18 will participate in seven sports managed by over 500 officials.
The seventh Commonwealth Youth Games will take place on the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago from August 4-11, 2023.
Athletes and teams from 71 Nations and Territories across the Commonwealth are setting foot in the country, and the stage is set for an exhilarating showcase of youthful talent and friendship.
