The Chairman of Ekwusigo Council Area of Anambra State, Engr. Ikenna Ofodeme has made further clarifications on the Ozubulu shooting describing it as purely a terrorist attack and has nothing to do with a drug pusher’s disagreement in South Africa with his town’s man.

He said the police are on top of the investigation and will come out with the truth.

He made this known some 10 minutes ago at a press briefing in Ozubulu while giving update on the ugly incident of last Sunday morning.

The Council chairman said the attack was politically motivated. He argued that if it were a misunderstanding between Mr. Aloysius Ikegwuonwu and his kinsman in South Africa, what had it got to do with innocent worshippers.

He gave the number of people that actually died as 12. Eight women, one baby and three men while 27 are still receiving treatment at NAUTH, Nnewi.
