Nigerians have been urged to imbibe the lessons that come with the Birth of Jesus Christ in order to herald a new era of progress and development of the Nation. Nigerians were given the call by Senator Stella Oduah as they joined the other parts of the world to celebrate Christmas which marks the Birth of Jesus Christ commemorated by Christians.
Specifically, Stella solicited for love, unity and peace among Christians in Nigeria and across the world.
She made the call in a statement issued by her Media office on Saturday in Abuja to mark the 2023 Christmas celebration.
The Senator who represented Anambra North at the 9th Assembly urged Nigerians to approach the season of Christmas with optimism and renewed faith in themselves and the country.
The 9th Senate Lawmaker eulogised her constituents and Nigerians at large for remaining steadfast despite the myriad of challenges facing the country, while asking them to lose hope but pray for the success of the present administration at all levels, Stella assured them of her continued contributions for the progress of the society.
According to her the Birth of Jesus Christ will mark a new beginning of prosperity of the Nation regardless of the prevailing circumstances.
The statement read partly:
“This wonderful season I join my dear people of Anambra North and Nigerians especially the Christian faithful and the entire world in celebrating the joyous blessings of Christmas.
“As we remember the true meaning of this glorious festivity, may we emulate the Lord Jesus Christ’s love, and kindness by extending our hands to the less privileged among us. I urge us all to use this season to renew ourselves and eschew negative vices that are capable of harming the society”.
“The sanctity of the birth of Jesus Christ which is the reason for the celebration is to re-enact the spirit of love, peace, good neighbourliness and forgiveness which our saviour preached.”
