Okeke Chika Jerry, a renowned author and entrepreneur, has secured the BOOT Party’s nomination for the 8 November 2025 Anambra governorship election.
Emerging unopposed with 29 delegate votes at the party’s primary in Awka, Jerry was declared the candidate by electoral officer Akaniyene Ekpeyong on April 10.
In his acceptance speech, Jerry decried Nigeria’s leadership failures, stating, “Majority youths are angry and hungry… protests like EndSARS and Take It Back have changed nothing.”
He vowed to champion youth-driven governance, focusing on agriculture, security, and education. “The state economy will be driven with agriculture and industries,” he promised, outlining plans for jobs, scholarships, and soft loans to curb hunger and school dropouts.
Jerry added, “When we address hunger and joblessness, insecurity will be a thing of the past.”
