Authorities have recovered a weapon suspected to have been used in Wednesday’s fatal shooting of American conservative activist, Charlie Kirk.
This comes as the search for the shooter intensified, with a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a male suspect.
Kirk, an ally of President Donald Trump, was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University, Orem in Utah.
In a Thursday news conference, Beau Mason, Commissioner for Utah Department of Public Safety, which is leading the investigation, presented a video of the suspect climbing down from a roof on campus and fleeing moments after the shooting.
The video showed the suspect in a baseball cap, wearing sunglasses and a long-sleeve black shirt, and carrying a backpack.

The video also showed the suspect, who has not been named, crossing a roof, climbing down and running across a nearby street and into a wooded area.
Mason disclosed that a gun was recovered in the woods.
He further disclosed that authorities also recovered palm prints from the roof and shoe imprints that appeared to match up to Converse tennis shoes.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump described the shooter as an “animal” during a Thursday evening speech.
He said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was making “big progress” to unmask the shooter.
“He’s an animal, total animal. Hopefully they’ll have him and they’ll get him,” the president said.
