Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has urged his teammates to approach their UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona with seriousness and apply pressure high up the pitch.
The Turkish champions will host Hansi Flick’s side at Rams Park on Tuesday.
Osimhen spoke after Galatasaray defeated Kasımpaşa 3-1 in a Turkish Süper Lig encounter on Friday.
The Nigerian international stressed the need for Galatasaray to remain focused and put Barcelona under pressure as they prepare for the European clash.
“When you are playing against a team with such quality players, you have to play with both excitement and seriousness; you need to apply pressure in the front area,” Osimhen told HT Spor.
“They possess the ball a lot, so in a match like this, you need to show some resistance.
“We are ready, and whatever the result may be from that game, we will face it head-on.”
Barcelona defeated Galatasaray 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League when both teams last met in 2022.
