CDS Irabor donates operational vehicles to police

The Chief of Defense Staff, Major General Lucky Irabor, has donated five operational patrol vehicles (Hilux) to Delta State Police Command.

The vehicles were presented to the management of the command on behalf of the CDS by the Commander, 63 Brigade, Asaba, General Mayeranso David Saraso.

According to Irabor, the gesture was to foster inter-agency cooperation in the war against crime.

He further noted that the gesture was to support and enhance the performance of the police in the security of life and property across the state.

Irabor stressed the need to assist other security agencies with the required tools.

Receiving the vehicles, Commissioner of Police in Delta State, Ari Muhammed Ali expressed happiness, saying that the gesture “exhibited by the CDS is one of a kind, uncommon and quite unbelievable, which will in no small way boost the morale of police personnel in the state.”

Ali assured the CDS that the vehicles would be put into good use, adding that the donation would enhance the fight against crime and criminality across the state.
