The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC) has extended its condolences to the family and people of Ijebu following the passing of the Awujule of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Aisha Adamu Augie, CBAAC described the monarch as a cultural icon whose leadership and contributions to the Ijebu Kingdom will be greatly missed.
The organisation prayed for the family, the people of Ijebu, and the traditional council to find solace in the legacy of Oba Adetona’s reign and the memories of his dedication to his people.
