The names of the 26 nominees for appointment as commissioners into the Delta State Executive Council have been screened and confirmed by the state House of Assembly.
This followed the screening of the last batch of the nominees during plenary on Wednesday.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had a forth night ago, forwarded the names to the House.
Those who appeared on Wednesday during plenary presided over by the Speaker, Emomotimi Guwor, were Jerry Ehiwario, Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu, Darlington Ijeh, Emamusi Obiodeh, Perez Omoun, Agabateyimiro Isaac Weyinmi, Etagherure Ejiro Terry and Jamani Tommy Ejiro.
Their confirmation followed separate motions by the Majority Leader, Emeka Nwaobi, which was adopted.
In his remark, Guwor said the House had once again shown its resolve for diligence and dedication to duty,
commending members for their show of responsibility.
He congratulated Governor Oborevwori for appointing 26 Deltans to serve in the State Executive Council in line with provisions of the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
