But, who is David?

The question is not, who was David. David was not a was quantity. Even then, David was not anybody. David was not anything.

David was not connected -as in, had no connections. David was not liked, especially intra-family. David was not powerful. David was not rich.

David was is. David is is, David is a continuum because David was not dead, is not dead. David is alive: is a brand that lives on.

Too many people, even plus including latter-day Goliaths, misconstrue who David is. Such crying shame. Like those who erroneously insist that there is another Christ. Christ is the same: yesterday, today, tomorrow, overmorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade, next century, next millennium; forever.

Christ is one: the same Christ just as we have one and the same David. God is Spirit. This is spiritual something. You cannot decode except you are in the spirit.

Just as no new Jesus can ever be born, David too. But, the spirit is present. David is ubiquitous, the way the Spirit works. Now, you understand how Christ can today inseminate Davidism in a few ready believers so they defeat their Goliath per territory.

If you cannot catch my drift, then this is certainly not for you. Please stop reading, shut this and move away. Because, unfortunately, there is no “understandeth what thou readest? … How can I except some man teach me” here.

This is neither for every man nor can you be taught except by the Spirit. Father Lord, please help me to not digress. Teach me focus, Lord. The harvest is too plenteous for the few Davidlike ready labourers.

The mission here today is to discuss David, and who is. Perhaps, just to help the blind, and the deaf, and the lame, and the foolish, and the ignorant. David is the anointed. Always, always, he appears small but he is the greatest.

Always, always, he appears poor but apart from being the richest he also is the wealthiest. He appears as the underdog and is therefore despised and dismissed as a loser and the loser but at the end he is the winner, he is also so declared and unanimously accepted and celebrated. I understand all right that the billions of human beings on this earth are one species; I mean, that we are much more alike than we are different, but you see David? He is a dangerous species, completely and totally unique.

There is a David per every people; every tongue, every tribe, every race. David rises in courage to fight and win and reign. Fear is alien, in fact a nonexistent or unknown extraneous factor, to David. David is never bothered by or never considers fear since he does not know anything about it.

Always, always, when man-made tsunami threatens to extinguish his people, it is only David who steps up, and in. In tow, to greet him in mockery, are the noises and taunts by his family that the devil first dares him (David) with. Because he is David, he understands his assignment. So, he ignores or laughs off both familiar noises and tantrums.

And, always, always, David goes on to do what he has to do. He not only dares but also takes on the undarable. A hundred percent of the time, he defeats them beyond all reasonable and unreasonable doubts. Beating the devil’s agent(s) conclusively and decisively is the inalienable pastime and right of David.

Check history, check reality; as for future, it is assured even to power forever. David is there, everywhere you look. In history, now and always. David is innocuous, but he is not: that is, in the real sense of harm and offence, David is not not harmful and not not offensive.

A very good negative, that. It makes David an unseen, and consequently, an unconsidered and an unfeared foe. The opponents David defeats never see him coming, never even think him a worthy part of the conversation let alone of the battle. That helps David, big time.

Almost always, he becomes like the abstract that thrashed realism. Arsenal -my third best football team after Super Eagles and Akwa United in that order- epitomise this strength ful weakness in two ways. Because we failed in over two decades to hit gold, no one saw us coming this season round. And, in every game, opponents mark out our attackers forcing our midfielders and defenders to step up and in, like David -precociously scoring enough goals to keep our team right on top of the log!

Technically, David (or Davidism) is an idea, a spirit, a strength; if you like, a thinking, that conveys a monumental sense of can-do and must-do. David is not a concept. Davidism is not a concept. Davidism in you creates a David, the unstoppable challenger.

Do you have Davidism? Are you David? Pray, stop grumbling, rise up and get set to hit the sky flying while those messing up with our people are groping to hit the ground running. Many thanks, David; welcome, our new king!

God bless Nigeria!
